Aspen CBE Holds Awards Event in New York City

On November 6, 2009, in collaboration with our corporate partners Citigroup and Ernst & Young,

the Aspen CBE staff hosted an audience of 160 faculty, administrators and corporate representatives

for the biennial celebration of the Beyond Grey Pinstripes Global 100 schools and winners of Aspen 's

Faculty Pioneer and Dissertation Proposal Awards. Attendees represented 50 schools, and some

traveled from locations as far afield as Spain, South Korea and Venezuela to join us. The event included a

cocktail party at Citi's Citigroup Center, and a breakfast at EY's Times Square headquarters: both events

featured breathtaking views of Manhattan along with delightful conversation among those in attendance!

For the first time, this year's event also included four small-group breakout sessions following the breakfast.

Continuing in the theme of iconic skyscrapers, one group toured Bank of America's new LEED Platinum

certified tower at 1 Bryant Park, while three lively workshops were held on the topics of MBA curriculum

change, collaborations between business and business academics, and sustainable development in India.
