
Notes on The Aspen Institute’s Center for Business Education’s
Annual Award Ceremony, November 16, 2007
On November 16th, the Aspen Institute’s Center for Business Education
held its annual awards breakfast at the Ernst & Young headquarters in New
York City. The event recognized individual award winners and schools
ranking in the top 100 of our Beyond Grey Pinstripes survey, and featured a
panel discussion on the future of MBA education with Dean Robert Joss of
Stanford's Graduate School of Business, Faculty Pioneer Awards winner
David Cooperrider from Case Western’s Weatherhead School of
Management, and Judith Samuelson, Executive Director of the Aspen
Institute's Business and Society Program. The panel was moderated by
Jacqueline Adams, Senior Counselor at Burson-Marsteller, New York.
More than 150 guests attended the by invitation only gathering, ranging
from nearby NYU Stern and Columbia Business School to the University of
Stellenbosch in South Africa and RSM Erasmus University in the
Netherlands. Deans from eleven schools were in attendance, as well as
faculty, corporate and foundation representatives, and many other friends of
the Program.
