Aspen CBE has joined with three other organizations in undertaking The Oath Project, with a mission to support and enhance the work of the many individuals and organizations that are advancing the concept of a business professional Oath. Aspen CBE and its partners-Association for Professional Business Managers, MBA Oath, and the World Economic Forum for Young Global Leaders-have recently launched TheOathProject.org to support this endeavor.

Aspen Co-Sponsors Forum on Human Values and Sustainability
 
Aspen CBE is co-sponsoring a Forum on Human Values and Sustainability with The Fulbright Academy of Science & Technology (FAST) and the Institute for Sustainable Enterprise (ISE) to be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ.  This action-oriented forum will inquire and focus on the intersection between human values and global sustainability.  Click here to read more.

Case Competition

Aspen CBE is thrilled to be reinvigorating a student case competition focusing on the role of business in society.  This year's competition, titled the Business & Society International MBA Case Competition, expands the number of participating schools to 25 and offers one of the largest prize pools of any student case competition.  The competition itself will take place throughout April.  More information is available at a brand new website: www.AspenCaseCompetition.org.

University of Notre Dame Announces Dissertation Proposal Competition

The Institute for Ethical Business Worldwide at the University of Notre Dame is hosting its sixth annual dissertation proposal competition, the first and most established competition in this area.  The objective of the competition is to recognize and award Ph.D. candidates whose research will further our understanding of the ethical issues facing the business community.  Click here to read more.

The University of Maryland's Smith School of Business and USAID's Business Growth Initiative are pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural Global Challenge: Creating Alliances for Economic Prosperity. Aspen Faculty Pioneer Donaldson Appears in PBS Program
 
"In Search of the Good Corporate Citizen," an hour-long program, takes viewers beyond the headlines to show why some businesspeople take the ethical low road, and how the best business leaders steer their companies through today's toughest ethics challenges. Moderated by Aspen Faculty Pioneer Award winner Thomas Donaldson of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, the show weaves together expert panel discussions, personal accounts from real-life white-collar criminals and whistleblowers, and "person-on-the-street" perspectives from the financial centers of New York and London.  It will be shown on 23 public television stations nationwide.  For more information, visit the program web site.
