Aspen CBE Holds Awards Event in New York City
 
On November 6, 2009, in collaboration with our corporate partners Citigroup and Ernst & Young, the Aspen CBE staff hosted an audience of 160 faculty, administrators and corporate representatives for the biennial celebration of the Beyond Grey Pinstripes Global 100 schools and winners of Aspen's Faculty Pioneer and Dissertation Proposal Awards.  Click here to learn more and to view photos from the event.
 
Aspen BSP Hosts First Annual "Capitalism and the Future" Symposium
 
On November 3rd and 4th, in collaboration with Bloomberg and the New York Public Library, the Aspen Business and Society Program hosted a two-day public program entitled "Capitalism and the Future," which featured speakers including Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and Co-Founder of Generation Investment Management David Blood.  Click here to learn more and to view photos from the event.

Pitt's Berg Center Develops Scorecard on "Food Deserts"
 
Students at the Berg Center for Leadership and Ethics at the University of Pittsburg have partnered with the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture to pilot a new scorecard called the Food Abundance Index (FAI), which tracks as large and isolated geographic areas where supplies of nutritious, quality and culturally relevant food are absent or distant.  Click here to learn more.
